Climber was bred by Tina Baldwin and and was first owned by Kathy & Bruce Stewart. He honoured us by winning Best of Breed at the Keeshond Club of Canada's 1995 National Specialty. At the same show his sire, Rocky, was chosen as winner of Best Sire and Get - also Best Veteran and Top Scoring Keeshond with 191 1/2 points out of a possible 200 from the Novice A class. His dam, Justine, was picked as winner of the Best Dam and Progeny class.Climber also won Best of Breed at the Keeshond Club of British Columbia's 1997 Specialty Show, over a truly lovely entry of Specials.
Later sold to Bjarne and Lene Wohlfahrt of Denmark, Climber won Best in Group (FCI group 5) placements, and the "Best at the Spitz Club" which is an all-year competition where the winning dogs collect points at the individual shows. He was awarded number 1 one year and number 2 for three years. The competition also exists for older dogs and in 2002 he made "Best Senior of the Year No. 2".
We were very proud of him and his owners, and all their achievements with him. Climber was very eager to please and had a wonderful show attitude. He carried a correct, thick, hard, self-fitting coat and was very sound in mind and body.
